About GOAT

Eddy Lu and Daishin Sugano founded GOAT in 2015. Sugano studied political economy at Berkeley when he met Eddy Lu. They bonded over their love for sneakers. After college, they found themselves in corporate jobs but felt unfulfilled. Eddy and Daishin then found themselves writing iPhone apps and founded an import/export company. To find better success with their iPhone apps, Eddy and Daishin moved to Chicago. In 2013 Daishin ordered a pair of Nike sneakers, but to his dismay, they were fakes. Due to the lack of authentication when verifying sneakers, Eddy and Daishin decided to create a new app called GOAT.
