I ordered two boards through a Square Off crowdfunding campaign several years ago, and after many delays and terrible communication to backers, the boards were finally delivered two months ago—but neither one will pair with the phone app. We tried multiple phones. Square Off's customer support was very slow to respond and over the course of several weeks of sporadic communication ultimately decided that replacement boards are needed—but after three weeks, they still haven't sent the promised return shipping labels (they won't send new boards until they receive the defective ones back) and are not responding.

I must honestly warn customers NOT to BUY FROM THEIR official WEBSITE!!
THIS COMPANY DOES NOT VALUE POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS THAT LOOKS FIRST ON THEIR WEBSITE TO SUPPORT RATHER THAN BUYING FROM OTHER CHESS DEALERS!! IF YOU BOUGHT FROM THEIR WEBSITE, YOU ARE AT THEIR MERCY, AND MOST LIKELY WILL EXPERIENCE SIGNIFICANT DELAY OF YOUR PRODUCT!! (IF EVER THEY WILL BE DELIVERED AT ALL!!!) THEY HAVE A VERY POOR BUSINESS ETHICS ON WHO THEY SHOULD VALUE FIRST, AND in RETAINING CUSTOMERS...The Company was a huge disappointment!. MY EXPERIENCE WITH THEM A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO, OF GOING THRU THE HASSLE IN COMMUNICATING WITH MY BANK AND THEM, FOR A REFUND! because of a product that was not delivered was very frustrating! and WAS a VERY EYE OPENING EXPERIENCE for me!. Their business SCAM tactic is to inform you that the product you ordered has been delayed, again and again! just to keep you in the loop! you will notice that you will receive recycled, generic canned messages to keep you waiting for an empty promise of a delivery date! The time i lost, was not something i could get back, and MAKES ME WANT TO RETHINK MY INTEREST AND BEING CAUTIOUS oN SUPPORTING INDEPENDENT BUSINESS AGAIN!!
My advice is: 1. IF YOU EVER, AND REALLY WANT TO GET THEIR PRODUCT. Do Not buy from their official website!, BUY it FROM A REPUTABLE THIRD PARTY VENDOR THAT WOULD GET YOUR PRODUCT SHIPPED IN ONLY A COUPLE OF DAYS!!
2. Read trust pilot real users review on how horrible this company is
As a word of advise to learn from my experience, if you got baited on buying from their website: DO not use our debit account, always use your credit card, and try to make a claim to your credit card provider as soon as possible, when a sign of delivery is delayed!. AS some credit card company only has a grace period of 90 to 120 days from the time of purchase to make a claim.( As a mental note reminder, i always will be weary now of sellers that don't offer PayPal), Keep all your written/emailed communications intact and saved. and Never agree to anything less of 100% money back return!
