We booked a 09.25 flight from Brisbane to Port Moresby (QF057) on 1st March 2023. We received tickets almost immediately. So far so good. Almost as soon as the e-tickets arrived we had to change the flight for the same time on the next day. Within an hour I contacted trip.com and they wanted GBP 371.80 to change a GBP384.40 airfare!! Part of the cost was GBP94.30 x 2 for ticket price differential. Having again looked at their website there was no price differential between the two flights. It is not a question of whether we ticked all the "extra" boxes but a matter of mis-representation and greed.
I would like to appreciate the customer service, which I got from Owen and the team. I mistakenly made my purchase for a flight ticket and I wanted to cancel the process before issuing. Even though I contacted customer service before issuing the ticket, the ticket was issued due to technical limitations. And, because of the ticket’s policy, I was informed that I can get one-thirds of my purchase.
Despite the refund policy, Owen and his team showed empathy and solved my problem. I have to say. I was very stubborn and somewhat aggressive, but they were always very calm and professional and tried their best to figure out what they can offer.
Not only I am very happy with the result that Owen and the team offered, but also I am very satisfied with how they treated me as a valuable customer during the process.
Again, I would like to express my deep appreciation to Owen and the customer success team; their agility, patience, and flexibility.
I will use Trip.com again for my next trip!

My flight was cancelled by the airline and I have been trying to reschedule it for more than 2 weeks. They keep telling me that the change request failed. Then they kept telling me that they are waiting on a confirmation from the airline. Every time they keep telling me to just wait for 24 hours, then they started saying to wait for just 4 hours and my request will be resolved.
And NOTHING happens.
***Also, DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR RESPONSES ON HERE that they resolved the issues or anything.*** They just write that to seem as it they are legit, but they don't do anything.

I tried to contact them 10 times and every time there was the same response that we are talking to the higher manager. DON'T GO WITH THIS AGENCY. THEY DON'T CARE ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY.
I needed to correct my phone number to add extra luggage and flight confirmation because the airline was sending a confirmation code to my contact. I was punished for their mistake and still they could not fix it. Imagine explaining the same thing to 10 different agents.

I booked a return ticket flight. 1 of the ticket was issued instantly, second one wasn't issued within 24 hours.
- I called to customer service, they assured me that they will issue a ticket within 4 hours
- Nothing happenned within 4 hours, I called again, they told that they reached out airline directly, and 100% I will get a ticket in 24 hours
- Nothing happenned in 24 hours, I tried to call them again, but couldn't speak to a represantative, I texted support in the app, they didn't give my any explanation, just told that they put it in "urgency" and I will get a ticket within 24 hours
- Nothing happenned again in 24 hours, I talked to support represantative Zadi and he told that he chatted to department issuing the ticket and asked to give him a big favor to wait 24 hours. I was already angry, but decided to give them last chance.
- Nothing happenned again in 24 hours, I talked to support represantative Irina, she told that she can again leave a note to make my tickets issued as soon as possible(it was already 4 days before the flight and I couldn't wait), I told that I don't want to wait anymore. She told that she can refund me the amount that I paid for the ticket. In the meantime price for the ticket increased by $100, I asked if they can provide me bonus and gift card for that. She said no. So, I asked her to cancel the ticket and I got a confirmation on the email that I will be refunded within 10days.
Conclusion: I used this company to buy tickets about 10 times, everything was smooth, but this booking made me angry several times. I spent ~2-3 hours on calls and chats with customer service. Represantatives are lying to you everytime, promising, but it never happen what they promise, they also never gave me an explanation what's going on at all.
I will never book through trip.com or any other travel agencies only direct booking through airline
Never, ever, ever book anything with these dishonest online criminals. Be careful as they double the price of flights you order behind you back and they use the old small print crap to get away with it. We ordered tickets for a 1/2 hour flight which on most other sites cost about $100 each....with this site it cost us $500m pretty much and their refund fees are about the price of the picket itself. Its just a dodgy Chinese site you have to steer clear of. If you can order tickets directly with the airline you want to fly with.
Flight Ticket from Tripcom
I bought a ticket to Budapest from Luton Airport from Trip.com but never received email confirmation of my flight, the flight number, the payment receipt, or any other information concerning the flight.
I called them to ask what had happened, but as I had received no email, no email matching my booking was on their records. I can appreciate that the person on the phone was trying to help, however, when I gave them my card details and the person still could not find my booking I knew that this cannot have been legitimate as a) my bank statement shows a payment to Trip.com that went through on the date in question and b) my internet browser history confirms exactly the payment page on the website I used on that date.
I have disputed the claim with my bank and Trip.com. I would strongly advise you stay away from this service and instead go directly through the airline.
Changed our return date to a month BEFORE our outward date, and will now do nothing about it. They are absolutely terrible, they take your money and will do nothing to help.
I have to put at least 1 star, but I rate them as 0!
They operate under the Travel Agents Act of Singapore under license number 02943, complain to firstname.lastname@example.org. If there's enough complaints they will have to look at them!
I have made complaints to both NATAS and ATAS.
I had the intention of booking one date, but somehow ended up with the wrong date.
I ended paying for the tickets without realising the wrong date.
I feel that something is wrong with their interface.
Use trip.com with caution.
I'll preface with I don't care about their threats. Anyway, I booked a flight a few weeks ago, and while I was finalizing the purchase, the page wouldn't load, so I refreshed. All of the fields were still populated, so I hit purchase again; everything worked as planned. Within a few minutes I realized when I refreshed the page, the dates defaulted to something other than what I wanted. I attempted to adjust it on the site, and it wouldn't work because of an "error" on their end. I called and sat on hold forever. Then as I described what had happened I got "disconnected" I called again, but had other things to do and couldn't sit on hold all day. I also sent an email that was never responded to, so I just went ahead and did a chargeback with Amex. Today, I received poorly translated email from Trip saying they were going to involve the authorities and seek restitution. They also say in the email I was intentionally misleading. I really don't think I was, and I also really don't care. Don't fool with them.
